Rituals: making Brighton beautiful

Rituals, the provider of luxury home and body cosmetics, who trade from in excess of 200 stores worldwide, have now opened a new outlet in Brighton City centre. The unit is in Duke Street, which forms part of the famous Lanes area of the city.

Graves Jenkins negotiated the transaction on behalf of the new tenant who took a new 10 year lease at a market rent. The premises provide a ground floor sales area of 375 sq ft with a lower ground floor of 358 sq ft.

Yasuda Avery, Project Manager for Store Development in the UK commented, “Brighton has always been a target city for a Rituals store as our brand suits the style of quality shopper that it attracts. It is a welcome addition to the retail portfolio and looks great within the pedestrian thoroughfare of Duke Street.”

Phil Graves, Director at Graves Jenkins, who handled the acquisition added, “once we identified the trading areas which suited the brand and the availability of the premises in question, the deal happened quite quickly. Rituals offer a strong tenant covenant and a very modern, professional looking outlet.”

Graves Jenkins acted in conjunction with Brasier Freeth agents for Rituals Cosmetics UK Ltd and Stiles Harold Williams acted for the private landlord.
