The Good Spa Awards 2012 Winners
The Good Spa Guide’s annual awards shine a light on the best spas in Britain. This year’s hotly contested results are just in.
In the national awards, the Good Spa Guide has selected winners ranging from the well established, such as Ragdale Hall in Leicestershire, to newer kids on the block, such as The Spa in Dolphin Square, London.
This year, the awards also gave spa goers the chance to have their say. People were asked to vote for their favourite spa in 11 different regions, with the chance to vote online or via SMS. Spas with the highest number of votes in each region are the lucky winners. “It was the first year that we used regional voters,” says Anna McGrail, director of The Good Spa Guide. “It was amazing to see the way some spas are absolutely loved by their visitors. They voted in their thousands and they left behind such wonderful comments. When you read over and over that ‘nowhere else compares’ to a winning spa, you know you’ve found a bright star of the spa world.”
Clare Rogers, MD of the Treatment Rooms, a small spa in Brighton says: “It is great to win such a prestigious award especially against such strong competition. I hope it encourages more independent salons and spa owners to see it is possible to compete with the big brands.”
