Beth Jeans Houghton and the Hooves of Destiny

I had read somewhere that Beth Jeans fell under the ‘freak-folk’ label. Having no idea what this meant since I am someone who doesn’t really own a CD made post-2000, I went to see them with a completely open mind. What I experienced was something so new and original but so familiar at the same time, like we were old friends but simultaneously meeting for the first time. With six people on stage, various instruments and stunning vocals, their music was flawless, fun and utterly magical. So correction, I now have one CD post-2000 that I have not left alone.
