Punched III

The first thing we generally think of when puppetry is mentioned is Punch and Judy shows. Punched III blew this image out the window by purely going beyond boundaries a puppeteer can think of, as this show is certainly not for the young at heart or faint hearted.

Experimental showcases of the best talent Brighton has to offer on this almost forgotten genre showed different themes ranging from the sinister, macabre, sensitive and light-hearted comedy. Some of the pieces needed further tightening up, but overall this really made the audience think and get involved in all that evolved on stage.

Highlights included The Monkey Train, Step and The Melody.
