BREMF – Celebrating Inspiration: in Memory of David Munrow

David Munrow (1942-1976) musician, broadcaster and academic, tempted a whole generation of young musicians into his enchanted world of early music. Many are still performing today. Three (Deborah Roberts, Sally Dunkley and Andrew van der Beek) discussed his enduring legacy with Sir Nicholas Kenyon. Then we were treated to an episode from his TV series, which was followed by a concert in the style of his performances. The excellent BREMF Renaissance Players were led by David Hatcher. The joy of their beautiful tribute was tempered only by a sense of loss that this extraordinarily inspiring life had been so short.
