The Ladyboys of Bangkok
Okay, remove the fact the artistes are either pre or post op transexuals. Because once you do this is a pretty ordinary show. For what is essentially a cabaret show with dancing, comedy sketches and audience participation it doesnt really match the top flight cabaret shows on the circuit. Yes, it’s glamorous and sparkly (with tributes to various international acts like Rhianna, Shirley Bassey, Frank Sinatra, Cher – ironically the Ladyboy having had less plastic surgery to look like Cher than Cher has had to look like Cher!!) but some of the dancers were lack-lustre/unpolished or the routines flat. Good fun if you’re on a night out with mates though.
