The Vagina Monologues
Outrageous, heartbreaking and funny; this global hit still has the power to shock one minute and move you to tears the next.
This production was a little heavy-handed with over-acting and exaggerated accents detracting from the subtle, poignant script.
Bob, a character who was a woman-loving hero in a production of the play I saw ten years ago, was depicted here as a sinister creep for the sake of a few extra laughs.
The audience did laugh a lot and this remains a brilliant, provocative and important piece of theatre which everyone (whether they have a vagina or not) should see.
