Brighton Marina’s Kirsty Pollard on free Christmas workshops for kids
Looking for that something to keep the kids entertained this Christmas?
Be sure to bring them along to see Santa indoors at Mermaid Walk, Brighton Marina. Santa will be at his log cabin every Saturday and Sunday during December before Christmas between 11–4pm (grotto queue will be closed daily at 3pm). Santa has a free gift for every child under 14.
As well as a free Santa, Same Sky are back with their popular art and craft make-and-take workshops. Throughout the summer we held sea creature-themed work shops which were a big hit. Alongside Santa the kids will be able to get Christmas creative. Each weekend there will be a different theme, from Window Decorations, stained glass ‘SANTA STOP HERE’ signs, Christmas Tree decorations, table decorations, Christmas magnets and, of course, calendars… this indoor winter wonderland really offers a lot of fun for the children and, like Santa, workshops are free.
Same Sky is a community art charity and have huge amounts of experience and creativity to help children enjoy their time at the workshops and create something festive they are really proud of.
Be sure to pop along, with free parking available to all Marina customers there’s no need to rush. Once you have visited Santa and made your Christmas creations check out the stores for Christmas gifts then take time out and relax. Enjoy some good food with friends and family at the Marina restaurants, bars and cafés.
