Jo Caulfield – Better the Devil You Know

Jo has a well-deserved reputation as the queen of acerbic wit and razor-sharp one-liners, and she didn’t waste either as she explained why she was 45 minutes late – despite leaving home in Scotland nine hours before, the snow had still delayed her beyond understanding. But once she settled into her stride, her approach was less cutting and more comfy. She touched on familiar subjects, such as arguing in couples, the way men talk to each other and quiet carriages on trains, but rather than dunking them in acid, she only sprinkled them with acid rain. Jo’s take on life is still catty, but now perhaps with fewer claws.
