Brighton secondary school starts search for new head
<span style=”font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;”>A new head is being sought for the Brighton Aldridge Community Academy in Falmer to replace Phil Hogg when she retires at the end of the summer term.</span>
Applications have to be in by 9am on Monday 11 March with interviews scheduled for Monday 25 March and Tuesday 26 March.
An advert has been placed in the Times Educational Supplement. It said: “If you are looking for a school that is on the up, but where there is still plenty of scope to shape the future, this is it.

The Aldridge Foundation, which sponsors the academy, was set up by former Portslade schoolboy Sir Rod Aldridge who made his fortune after founding the outsourcing business Capita.
Sir Rod said: “Phil Hogg and her team at BACA have done an exceptional job.
“Phil helped shape development of the academy before it opened and since opening two years ago results have improved by 86 per cent with 41 per cent of students achieving five or more passes at A* to C grades including English and Maths this year.
“Overall 93 per cent of students achieved five or more passes at A* to C grades.”
In a recent inspection report Ofsted said: “The principal provides excellent leadership.
“She is supported by senior leaders, governors and staff, who share her passion and commitment to achieve the academy’s mission statement, ‘Believe you can’.
“Phil Hogg has helped create a wonderful academy and the opportunity to lead this will, I’m sure, attract some high-class candidates.”
