Two teenagers charged with vandalising Brighton and Hove bus

Two Brighton teenagers have been charged with causing thousands of pounds’ worth of criminal damage to a bus.

Rebecca Vaughan, 18, a student from Meadowview, Brighton, and jobless Daniel Ronan, 19, of nearby Fitzherbert Drive, Brighton, are accused of vandalising the bus in January.

Sussex Police said that Vaughan and Ronin had been bailed with conditions and were due to appear at Brighton Magistrates’ Court next Monday (11 March).

The force said that since December officers had made 27 arrests to try to stop a large group of youths vandalising buses and engaging in anti-social behaviour throughout Brighton and Hove.

In one incident in January eight teenagers – six girls and two boys – were arrested after two buses belonging to Brighton and Hove Buses were vandalised.
