Thief steals charity box from Hove shop

A thief swiped a charity box from a shop in Hove last week.

Sussex Police said that the charity collection tin was taken from the counter of the Brunswick Food and Wine shop in Western Road, Hove.

It contained cash in aid of the Sussex Air Ambulance.

Officers were trying to identify a woman who was in the shop when the theft happened just before 6pm on Monday 4 March.

PC Liz Yeo said that the woman was captured on CCTV and it is believed that she may have seen something that could help officers with their inquiries.
