Silent

One-man play ‘Silent’ powerfully follows the downward spiral of one man through family tragedy and breakdown to alcoholism and homelessness. With almost no set, the minimal props, as well as lights and puffs of smoke were used imaginatively and precisely to set the scene, while Pat Kinevane’s incredible performance was choreographed as carefully as a dance routine and timed like a stand-up comedian delivering a punchline. Full of black humour, and with ad libbing courtesy of some audience participation, ‘Silent’ forcefully challenged the audience to look beyond the homeless blanket to the person underneath it.
