Half Moon Run
Every now and again a band creeps up on us and become critically and commercially huge without the need for hype or bluster – Half Moon Run may be the next band of that ilk. Despite being relatively unknown in the UK, they stalked the stage like seasoned rock gods and gave a performance to match. Their style and sound is almost impossible to pin down, seeming to encapsulate the best of the entire canon of guitar-based music, whilst still sounding fresh, exciting and new. Their musical abilities and tightness are nothing short of phenomenal, and they even managed to stop mid-song and let the audience sing instead, before their debut album is even released in this country.
