Create a relaxed welcoming look at home with a little help from Raft
Raft is a brand with a pared back, easy-to-live-with look, which is just part of the reason why it has grown in popularity since its inception. The brand is set to open its latest showroom in the heart of Brighton, and shoppers will be able to create their own interior aesthetic from a host of furniture and upholstery pieces that have been designed to complement each other perfectly.
With an extensive collection of lifestyle products including sofas, beds, tables, storage units and a host of coordinating accessories, Raft really is a contemporary one-stop-shop for those wanting to inject some real style with substance into their interior schemes. “I think Raft’s secret of success is that the brand does not profess to ‘preach’ to its clients and customers overly about what they should or should not buy. The business is a sustainable one, with products built for longevity, and something customers can add to their collection season after season to build up a look that will last a lifetime,” says Mick Quinn, Raft founder.
Raft has worked hard over the past five years to secure a special ‘Chain of Custody’ on its reclaimed teak products. Customers will also have peace of mind that any hardwood products on sale come with an added endorsement from the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council®), for products that have been sourced and shipped in an ethical manner. Full traceability is assured on any of Raft’s reclaimed teak products, bringing customers peace of mind that they have bought from an independently certified source.
Raft’s distinctive style has proved hugely popular with homeowners and interior designers alike, who love furniture that has been built to last. Raft prefers to let its wood do the talking, by creating shapes and designs that show off to best advantage the inherent and natural characteristics of reclaimed teak. The company has also recently moved its entire sofa production to London, meaning that all Raft designs are hand crafted here in the UK, allowing greater flexibility and custom made options for customers. Choose from over 23 sofa designs, each of which can be modified or reshaped to suit even the most unusual space. There are several sofa bed options available too.

The well planned 1,190 sq ft Brighton store will house a plethora of new furniture designs, allowing visitors to see and feel the quality of Raft’s products. The popular Lincoln sofa, and striking teak root table, will take centre stage as well as a brand new furniture collection ‘Hudson’; a mid-century styled collection designed for bedrooms and living rooms.
Sarah Brown of Raft Brighton concludes: “We are thrilled to have finally found the perfect showroom space in Brighton and look forward to establishing Raft as one of the leading lifestyle stores in the area. I think residents will really ‘get’ the Raft look and also fully embrace our responsible approach to retailing, as this ethos fits perfectly with the values already held by the wider Brighton and Hove communities.”
