The Space – Brian Cosgrove & Terry Rawlings

Tonight’s evening of chat with media big wigs, hosted by Lisa Holloway, began rather ignominiously with a botched montage of highlights from the career of children’s animation legend Brian Cosgrove. The softly spoken creator of Danger Mouse, Chorlton and Jamie was often inaudible over the constant clicking of the in-house photographer but he exuded a joie de vivre while discussing his much-loved body of work. Oscar-nominated editor Rawlings delivered a masterclass in constructing a backing soundtrack from scratch and dropped some big names, recalling hanging out with Spielberg and Streisand. Another fascinating, if slightly marred, evening from this venerable group.
