Sussex Police requested assistance from East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service after reports of an aggressive dog at a property in Ashton Rise, Brighton, on Sunday morning (18 August) at 8.57am.

“Crews remained at the scene until 9.18am.”

The dog was believed to be a Staffordshire bull terrier which attacked as the pair were having a row in the Courtlands block of flats.

The couple were treated at the scene for their bites by firefighters before paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service took over.
