TigerBiteFever
When the imagination outstrips the ability, the temptation is to run before one can walk: TigerBiteFever have interesting songs and a great deal of potential, but on this showing, they are not yet ready. Singer Amy Tinsley’s rich and powerful voice was at times simply too much for the fragile and under-developed backing provided by guitarist Stuart Wray & Co., while her intonation problems and lack of stagecraft prevented any real audience connection. For all that, when at her best, channelling Ryksopp, Florence and even Siouxie Sioux, and when the band gelled, there were glimpses of something rather special.
