Summer ends today in Brighton and Hove

Weather forecasts suggest that Brighton and Hove will enjoy its last day of summer weather today (Thursday 5 September).

Temperatures of 77F (25C) are expected, with clear blue skies, just as most children have returned to school.

The evening may also be relatively warm and humid.

But tomorrow (Friday 6 September) light rain or showers are forecast from lunchtime and through the afternoon.

There may also be a light shower or two on Saturday (Saturday 7 September) too but generally the weekend offers blue skies although temperatures will be noticeably cooler.

There will be a light breeze at times at the weekend, adding to the cooler feel. Top temperatures are expected to be about 64F (18C) before factoring in any breeze.

The outlook is similar next week, with early forecasts predicting a light shower or two for Monday evening (9 September) and top temperatures of about 63F (17C) for much of the week.

Night-time temperatures will drop to 52F (11C), falling further to 48F (9C) later in the week.
