As the UK’s original shutter experts, Shutterly Fabulous has always been known for its absolute dedication to providing customers with a superior service, quality products and excellent value for money. Founded in Brighton in 2002, the last year saw the company approach its ten year anniversary, which was a perfect time for the founders Mark Carter and Murray Clark to put Shutterly Fabulous under the microscope and re-establish the brand’s identity, tone of voice and business ethos.
As Murray Clark explains, “We entered the shutter market at the right time, gaining a foothold in the market that set us apart from other companies. We worked hard to set a standard and quality (that remains unbeaten today) and customers recognised that we offered a product different from mass market, all selling the exact same shutters. However, as competition grew and time passed elements of the business naturally evolved and we found that this resulted in a slightly fragmented message across all of Shutterly Fabulous’ mediums”.
Therefore with this in mind, the founders decided it was time for Shutterly Fabulous to embark on a brand new chapter. They stripped the company back to basics and invested in a total rebrand; cementing the core values, updating the overall aesthetic design and developing a new website to ensure a cohesive brand identity across all platforms.
“What became apparent was that our core values that set us apart within a crowded marketplace could be summed up with our simple strapline “No Other Shutters Come Close – On Value/On Service/On Quality”, Mark Carter states.
“Importantly, it’s not just a marketing strapline, but the core values we want to be known for, both within our business and, importantly, with our customers.”
Along with this, Shutterly Fabulous has also created bold new branding for all visual materials, from updating the logo to providing customers with an aspirational brochure full of stunning shutter imagery and product information. In addition, Shutterly Fabulous has also acknowledged the absolute importance of providing customers with an online destination which will educate and inspire by launching a new informative and interactive website. Offering clear product specifications, inspirational image galleries, trend-led content and in-depth company information, the website incorporates the bold branding across all sections, highlighting the company’s love of design and individuality.
When questioned about the colourful new branding, Mark Carter points outs that “While the majority of our customers have opted for white or off-white painted shutters, we’ve seen a rise in the number ordering custom colours. When you think about it, curtains are rarely white – so why should shutters be restricted? This trend flowed through to our new look and allows us to remain on trend, switching colours throughout our marketing materials as time passes and tastes change.”
Prices start at £290 m² for standard colours and custom finishes are priced at £320 m² (both including at-home consultation and installation).
