Two 14-year-old girls charged with robbery in Hove

Two 14-year-old girls have been charged with robbery in Hove.

The teenagers were also charged with theft in Seaford. Sussex Police said that the offences were both carried out at the weekend.

The force said: “Two 14-year-old girls were arrested in Warwick Road, Seaford, at 12.30am on Saturday (21 September) to a report a mobile phone had been stolen.

“The two girls, one fron Hove and one from Brighton, were subsequently interviewed by police about this matter and an earlier robbery in Elm Drive, Hove, where a girl had a quantity of cash stolen.

“They have both been charged with the theft of the phone in Seaford and the robbery in Hove and have been bailed to appear before Brighton Youth Court on (Friday) 18 October.”
