Weird, wonderful, obscure, beautiful, quirky. All words to describe the magical Cocorosie.

The American sisters with massive poetic overtones hit the stage under a backdrop of dry ice and mystery, a washing line across the stage holding many of the costume changes. The two voices intertwined with beauty as the colossal beat boxer broke the beats to hold the ingredients together. A master hipster spun his web of musical notes to create a sound that captivated one’s mind in a way never before. Once I had seen Cocorosie I fully understood their position in cultural music. This really was the stuff of nightmares but beautiful nightmares.

Haunting melodies and bizarre headdress. One of the world’s many wonders.
