Paramedics treat Brighton woman after microwave fire

Paramedics treated a woman from Brighton after a fire involving a microwave at a home in Hollingbury last night (Monday 30 September).

South East Coast Ambulance Service sent an ambulance after a request from the fire crew at the scene.

The woman had suffered from the effects of breathing in smoke during the blaze.

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said that firefighters were sent from Preston Circus in Brighton and from Hove Fire Station to tackle the blaze in Larkfield Way.
