Claire Martin With The Montpelier Cello Quartet

The Ropetackle Centre was transformed into a delight of jazz and experimental cello arrangements in a wonderful concert by Claire Martin and the Montpellier Cello Quartet. Claire entertained the audience with a stunning sultry voice and lots of interaction with the audience about her many escapades in the industry and stories behind each song, whilst the quartet kept everyone engaged with tight notes and well arranged music.

Sadly the night was let down by the 70’s section of the night. Although the principle was good, it needed more instruments to really complete it. By working more on these arrangements, this show will be perfect.
