The Upbeat Beatles
They looked right, the equipment was all there but there was something sadly lacking from this tribute act. Previous tours focused on the Fab’s earlier output. Unfortunately they have reverted to the tiring routine of four costume changes representing four distinct Beatle eras, something the Bootleg’s started about 25 years ago. And thus nothing sets this lot apart from the others. On the night I’m assuming someone had a cold because there were some decidedly iffy note-hitting which obviously affected the tight harmonies. The hits were covered as you would expect and the crowd left contented but the band could do better.
