Bill Bailey – Qualpeddlar
The godfather of whimsy has returned with several bees in his bonnet, a couple of hefty topics and still that generous sprinkling of musical amazeing-ness that sets him apart from others. From an intolerance for ‘celebrities’ to the lack of a viable left-wing option in British politics, Bill Bailey was sharing things that had really got his goat. These were his genuine qualms, and he demanded and expected an intelligence to spar with from his massive Brighton Centre audience. Fresh perspectives, clever ideas provoking fresh thought, and a fabulous array of horns and multimedia extras, this was an engaging and enjoyable show, if a little heavy on the number of encores it was clearly prepared to encourage and deliver.
