Coasts

On Halloween evening I had the pleasure to meet Coasts, a band conceived almost a year ago by five boys from Bristol. They have a wealth of musical knowledge and understanding, a tropical vibe, catchy song structures and animated and dynamic live performances. It’s easy to understand why their fan base is continually growing. They were terrific. Support came from Harting and The Art Club, two powerful and young bands from Brighton. The first is a “dark beach” alternative band and the second explored their hazy romantic thoughts by creating a sweet and post punk sound. Both of them sound good, but they need more gigs – meaning more practice to become better.
