Pensioner suffers head injury after being hit by bus in Brighton

A pedestrian was treated in hospital for a head injury after being hit by a bus in the centre of Brighton on Saturday morning (9 November).

Diversions were put in place causing delays and traffic queues after the accident in North Street, at the junction with Ship Street, at about 11.15am.

The bus was heading towards the Clock Tower when it hit a 67-year-old woman from Lincolnshire.

She was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton with a head injury. She needed three stitches.
