Revista Flamenca

This show really brought the firey heart of Spain to Brighton and woke the audience out of their apathy! Bringing traditional and modern together, Revista Flamenca inspired the inner gypsy and really made us want to dance with a vengeance.

Sadly a couple of things let this show down slightly – a technological hitch at the beginning, as well as some of the costumes for Melisa Calero. Whilst she was a great dancer, sadly the costumes did not suit the styles of dance she did. Plus it felt as if she was acting, rather than being immersed in the dance.

The real highlight of the show was Alvaro Guarnido who dominated the night with his passionate involvement of each movement, as well as really drawing you into his world. Stunning dancing, stunning show!
