Las Iguanas joins The Entertainer to share Christmas community cheer
Las Iguanas launched their Community Christmas Present Fund earlier this week, with a mission to turn Christmas parties at their Latin American restaurants into joy for kids.
The company will be donating £5 to their present fund for each party booking of 10 or more over the festive period and hope their contribution will amount to a five figure sum.
Joining Las Iguanas in their festive fundraising is the fastest-growing multi-channel toy retailer in the UK, The Entertainer, which has generously promised to match Las Iguanas’ contribution and will be supplying the gifts from their extensive range.
Lucy Harwood, Brand Manager at Las Iguanas, says: “We love the fact that The Entertainer believe in only supplying toys with real play value.
“We approached them to partner with us on this project because we had heard such fantastic things about their commitment to good old-fashioned kid’s play and their existing charity work through their own Foundation.
“We’re thrilled that they have come on board with our Christmas Present project and can’t wait to play Santa to hundreds of deserving children this Christmas.”
The team at each Las Iguanas branch have chosen a charity in their own community which will benefit from their local fund.
These range from children’s hospices and hospitals to women’s refuges.
Many of the charities chosen are close to the hearts of members of staff including the choice of Las Iguanas in Oxford.
General Manager David Harrison, says: “This Christmas we will be supporting John Radcliffe Children’s Hospital’s Cystic Fibrosis Centre.
“Cystic Fibrosis has had a profound effect on my own family and we lost my 21-year-old niece to the illness earlier this year.
“I’m really pleased that we can raise awareness through the Christmas Present campaign and support children in Oxford who have to live with Cystic Fibrosis.
“We’re looking forward to delivering them a sackful of presents on Christmas Eve.”
Las Iguanas Christmas parties can be booked now for November and December at 30 branches across the UK.
