Wave: Latest Style with Rhatia Rénee

When I was asked to cover local fashion and style for Latest 7, I could not help but the jump at the chance. This is one hell of a stylish town! I’ve only lived here for a year and a half, but it’s impossible not to notice the individual style and aura in the city. Whether you refer to it as bohemian-beach, the laid back I-don’t-give-a-damn look, or retro throwback hipster style, you can all agree that this town knows how to show a look off.

I’m so excited to help shine the light on talented designers, gorgeous models, and otherwise fashionable personalities Brighton and Hove have to offer. In this first instalment of the new style section is model Runa Begum, showing some great looks you can pull off this season for your night out.


As the weather gets colder, cool and crisp colours for eye shadow and lips are a must. Make-up expert Alicia Sandeman gave Runa lovely fuchsia lips, smokey grey eyes with some violet shimmer, and a neutral blush.
This is a great base for any evening outfit. For a real “girlie girl” innocent look try a simple light dress and elegant side pony tail.

Ready for a night on the town? The simple LBD never fails to get noticed. Here Runa pairs a typographic pattern print black mini with simple heels and dramatic earrings for extra sparkle. For going to and from venues, don’t forget a short blazer for a pop of ’80s style, not to mention keeping the winter chill off the arms. Pull out minimalist glam look with a simple tank top in any bright color and a classic long, figure-hugging pencil skirt.
