Diabetes workshop in Brighton wants to hear your views

On Saturday 7 December, Frank! Communication Solutions will be running several research workshops on behalf of Diabetes UK.

The agency is currently working with Diabetes UK to assess how the leading healthcare charity communicates with children with Type 1 diabetes.

The objective of the research sessions is to look at how best to communicate often complex messages to children aged from 7-11.

The research groups are taking place near the Brighton Station this Saturday (10.30, 12.15 and 2pm).

Anyone of junior school age with Type 1 diabetes are invited to come along with their parents and take part.

The research workshops will be fun, relaxed and enjoyable for the children and yourself.

You will also have the opportunity to comment on the way in which Diabetes UK currently talks to children and how they might like to be communicated with in the future.

Frank! Communication Solutions will be showing those who take part a selection of designs and asking them to choose their favourites with the reasons why.

They will also gather some information about the magazines, books or comics your children enjoy as well as their favourite TV programmes and websites.

You do not need to be familiar with the current magazine, just have some thoughts on the type of magazines you like to look at and receive.

You and your child will receive a thank you gift for coming along to the research group and all travel expenses will be reimbursed.

Each workshop will last approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, with teas, coffees and light refreshments provided.

For more information about the research groups, or to take part, please call Sophie on 01273 670100 or email Sophie@frankontheweb.com
