Ragroof Tea Dance

How wonderfully enjoyable this afternoon of dance is. Ragroof Players conduct the event with skill and style, Emporium serve delicious cakes and drinks and everyone has a very jolly time indeed. The vintage feel is maintained as many of the guests dress the part, their ages five to 95 – and nearly everyone dances; men with women, women with men, men with men and women with women – this was totally inclusive! The combination of display dances, instructions and free dancing was well balanced. Highlight of the afternoon was a charleston to announce the arrival of cakes, danced by Ragroof’s Charlie and a smaller Charlie who, it has to be said, stole the show with his fine musicality and natural aptitude for dance. I left full of cake and full of joy.
