BBC Radio 4 I’m Sorry I Haven’t a Clue: The official stage tour
BBC Radio 4’s antidote to panel games comes to town
with all of its bells, whistles and off-key singing
The iconic BBC Radio panel show (or self-styled antidote to panel games) rolls into town for two recordings –one in the early afternoon and one in the evening –to suit any fan’s schedule. Hosted by Jack Dee, who stepped into the very big MC-ing boots of Humphrey Littleton in 2008, and with regular panelists Tim Brooke-Taylor, Graeme Garden and Barry Cryer joined by the ever popular and musically praised Jeremy Hardy. Oh, and Colin Sell providing accompaniment at the piano. Aren’t we the lucky ones, with this cracking line-up?
I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Cluefirst arrived on our airwaves 41 years ago,
presenting itself as an anarchic antidote to many of the popular comedy formats –which it still is today. Including such classics as [singing] One Song To The Tune Of Another and the logic cul-de-sac that is Mornington Crescent, this is a real treat of an opportunity to find out more about what doesn’t make the cut for our airwaves, and maybe even sneak a peek at ‘the lovely Samantha’, keeper of scores, we’ve heard so much about all of these years.
Brighton Dome is also offering a dining package opportunity to the
evening show, serving up a deliciously tasty two- (£16.50) or three-course (19.50) meal in plenty of time to get to the show in the same venue. Meals must be booked at least 48 hours ahead of the performance.
