Brighton Fringe children’s programme cover design winner announced

To celebrate the launch of the new children’s programme, Brighton Fringe invited under 18s from Brighton & Hove to enter a competition and submit their designs to be featured on the cover, with the theme of ‘The Best Show Ever’.

After many entries and a tense judging process, Isla Whitfield, age 5 from Our Lady of Lourdes School in Rottingdean was declared the winner.

Isla got her talented hands on a VIP pass to all children’s events at award winning venue The Warren for the duration of Brighton Fringe 2014.

She also has her design on all 100,000 copies of the new programme, which will be available in The Argus and Primary Times from 7th March.

Brighton Fringe 2013 had 734 events and 100+ were child and youth friendly: everyone can be part of this big, colourful show, and attendees last year were up 270,000 (a 32% rise) from 2012.

Brighton Fringe 2014 runs for 4 weeks from 3 May to 1 June 2014.

Following the successful extension of Brighton Fringe in 2013, the open access festival will again include an extra week in 2014, incorporating May half term and both bank holidays.

Registration for 2014 is now open until 31 January, and all events are welcomed at this open access arts festival.
