Twelfth Night

There are lots of clever moments in Filter’s production of Shakespeare’s tale of loss, love, and getting really really drunk. Taking as its cues the iconic opening line (“If music be the food of love ..”) and the many references to weather and storms that are scattered across the text, this is a production full of sound and foley. The doubling up in the casting of a couple of the roles is likely to confuse those unfamiliar to Illyria, but that’s essentially the only bum note in a version of Twelfth Night that manages to riff many a new tune on a classical instrument.
