Woman raped in Portslade
A woman has been raped in Portslade.
She was found in a distressed condition in Drove Crescent, Portslade, by a couple who were awoken by her crying.
They tended to her and called for an ambulance, Sussex Police said.
The force said: “Extensive inquiries have taken place since the 33-year-old woman reported the incident after she was found in a distressed state.
“It was while at hospital that the woman reported that she had been raped.”
She was found at about 3.15am on Thursday 5 December.
DC Aran Boyt said: “We have made extensive inquiries and are now appealing to taxi drivers to contact us if they were in the area between 2.45am and 3.15am and saw a woman in distress at that location.
“If anyone saw a woman in distress they should contact police.”
