Celebcity: Shakedown line-up announced

Holly Willoughby’s baby news, Adele, Zoe Ball, Shakedown line-up announced & looking for love?

Baby, baby
Massive congratulations to Burgess Hill babe and This Morning presenter Holly Willoughby who has announced that she is pregnant. The baby will be Holly’s third child with hubby Dan Baldwin – the couple already have a boy and girl and Holly has revealed that she won’t be finding out the sex of the new baby before it’s born. Very wise Holly – don’t spoil the surprise!

Pride & no prejudice
So the multi-talented, multi-award winning genius Adele has apparently lost weight? We want to say from the start that we don’t care whether she’s a size 6 or 26; her talent and all round undisputed musical genius is the only detail we are interested in (well, that and whether she’ll agree to play Brighton Pride some day). The Brighton-based singer tweeted a picture of herself in support of World Water Day last week. We loved her little fish tank and would you just look at how cute her 17-month-old baby boy Angelo is!

Caroline in demand
Spotted a very fresh-faced Caroline Lucas on the train back to Brighton. The Brighton Pavilion MP hit the headlines last week as she appeared in court to answer Public Order charges related to her involvement in the anti-fracking protests in Balcombe last year. I can report that the Green MP’s phone was ringing non-stop as she returned to the city…

Shakedown main stage line-up revealed
Got your tickets for Shakedown yet? The annual music festival, now in its fourth year in the city has just announced the main stage line-up for 2014 and we are delighted to say that the amazing Groove Armada and Basement Jaxx will be rocking the park this year! The festival has a new home for 2014; moving from Stanmer Park to Waterhall. See you there on 19 July. www.shakedown.co.uk

Single in the city
Single and looking for love? Best get yourself over to St James’s Street because The Times has voted Kemp Town in Brighton as the second best place in the UK to live if you’re single. So who did we lose out to? Number one on the list is Tooting in South London. Hmm.

Spin me right round

Lovely to see Zoe Ball back on the box, presenting The Voice’s spin-off show, The Voice Louder. The weekday companion to the Saturday night talent show airs on BBC2, featuring interviews with finalists, coaches and presenters and backstage gossip. Sadly for Zoe, she became the backstage gossip after coming a cropper with one of the show’s signature big red judges chairs. While trying out the chair’s famed spinning schtick, Zoe managed to over-rotate it and fell forward, dislodging one of the sections of the seat, sending it crashing to the floor. Show insiders have confirmed that Zoe remained unhurt by the incident and the chair has been sent to the BBC repair shop. Phew!
