Mayor ‘tops out’ new homes in Rottingdean
Topping out
The Mayor of Brighton and Hove, Councillor Denise Cobb recently marked an important milestone in the construction of Azure, a landmark development of new homes in Rottingdean, by attending its ‘Topping Out’ ceremony. Welcomed by directors of Generator Developments, the developer and contractor Allston Construction, the Mayor was given a tour of the development site and then according to tradition, placed the last part of concrete to the structural frame at the building’s highest point.
Azure is a collection of nine exclusive new apartments located on the south side of Marine Drive, commanding an impressive sea front position with sweeping views of the coast. The spacious two- and three-bedroom homes combine stylish interiors, a high quality specification and the best in sustainable construction, designed by award-winning architects Holder Mathias.
The ‘Topping Out’ took place at the highest point of the reinforced concrete frame, standing at over 30 metres above sea level on top of the roof above the penthouses. From here the group could take in the breath-taking views of the coastline and sea, which in the future will only be enjoyed by residents.
The Mayor of Brighton and Hove, Councillor Denise Cobb says: “I am delighted to commemorate this key point in the construction of this exceptional new development. The apartments are well thought out, providing space and flexibility with fantastic sea views. I am sure the new residents will enjoy living in what is a wonderful new addition to the area.”
Paul Isaacs, Managing Director of Generator Developments says: “Thank you to the Mayor of Brighton and Councillor Linda Hyde for joining us to mark this significant milestone for Azure. It is a great credit to the hard work of our contractor Allston that construction has been progressing so well despite the challenging weather conditions of late. The apartments offer excellent quality living in a unique position that have already captured the attention of off plan buyers. We look forward to the launch of the new show apartment which will provide an opportunity for prospective buyers to see the high quality finish of the apartments.”
Azure offers the perfect combination of a friendly village and proximity to the sea and countryside.
