The Great Pyramids come to Brighton seafront as part of sand sculpture festival

Ever wanted to take a trip to the leaning Tower of Pisa? Or visit the Great Pyramids of Egypt? Well, now you can – and you don’t even need to leave Brighton and Hove.

Famous landmarks from across the world will be the main attractions to this year’s Brighton Sand Sculpture Festival.

Latest TV’s Richard Shayler headed down to Black Rock, near Brighton Marina, to see what all the fuss was about. And he was not disappointed!

The exhibition will run until the end of September.

Artist Nicola Wood said: “We are hugely excited about this festival. Brighton is such a vibrant, cultural city. We hope locals and holiday makers alike will come to the exhibition and enjoy everything it has to offer.”

Geoffrey Bowden, chairman of the Brighton and Hove City Council’s economic development and Culture Committee, said: “We’re confident this attraction will increase the numbers of people going to the eastern part of the seafront, and that other businesses there will benefit as a result.”
