Kevin Eldon And Some Colleagues
Joining forces on World Neurofibromatosis Awareness Day to educate the public and raise money for sufferers of this complicated condition, the likeable Irish compere Christian Talbot introduced an eclectic selection of stand ups. Headlined by the Big Train favourite, exhaustingly kinetic surrealist Kevin Eldon, his familiar face would have sold the tickets alone though lesser-known acts further down the bill were equally funny. From Edward Aczel’s brilliantly drab anti-comedy ‘manager speak’ through to youngster John Kearns’ ridiculous in-character tomfoolery and Canadian Pete Johansson’s good-natured observations, this strong line up perfectly justified staying indoors on such a gloriously sunny May afternoon.
