Macmillan Garden Trail reaches an amazing 30 gardens

Macmillan Garden Trail reaches an amazing 30 gardens opening for the 3rd Annual Trail on 26-27 July 2014!

Geoff Stonebanks from Seaford has raised over £13,000 for the Sussex Appeal through his garden-related events in the last 3 years. Geoff also organises and runs the Macmillan Coastal Garden Trail, through the Driftwood Fundraising Group. Now in its third year, the trail will see 30 stunning private gardens from Brighton to Eastbourne open their gates in aid of the appeal, some for the very first time.

Geoff recently met up with the trail’s patron, renowned TV gardener, Christine Walkden, to update her on this year’s event. This summer, six smaller trails will make up the main event on the 26 & 27 of July:

– The City trail of 7 in Brighton
– Coastal trail of 3 between Saltdean & Peacehaven
– Newhaven Town’s trail of 4
– Piddinghoe Village trail of 9
– Seaford trail of 4
– Eastbourne Trio

Entry to the gardens will be £2 for each garden visited. Alternatively visitors can buy a weekend saver ticket in the first garden they go to for £12, allowing them access to all gardens over the weekend.
