Man arrested in connection with rape in Brighton pub toilets

Police have arrested a man on suspicion of the rape of a woman in a pub toilet in Brighton.

A 24-year-old woman was raped in the Fishbowl in East Street between 1.30am and 3am on Saturday, June 28.

Today (Tuesday, July 8), Sussex Police has confirmed a 35-year-old man from Brighton has been arrested on suspicion of rape and has been bailed until September 22 while investigations continue.

Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses to anyone who saw anything which can help with their enquiries.
