Love Letters

Love Letters offers us a chance to learn about World War One via the medium of dance, woven around a young girl’s discovery of old correspondence between her great-grandparents.

As history lessons go, this one is definitely a cut above, but this is really an end of term recital. Including students of all ages and abilities, the audience’s reaction to the various vignettes depends entirely on whether you share a chromosome with the participants. Who wouldn’t want to see their little darling in a tutu being led around the stage? Fortunately, the older students are there to show what several years of hard graft can do.
