Brighton and Hove falls silent to remember World War One
One hundred years on, Brighton and Hove fell silent to remember the fallen of World War One.
Politicians and the public gathered today in Regency Square for a remembrance ceremony to mark the centenary of a battle that changed history forever.
Commemorations today are just one of the several events taking place in the city.
A major exhibition documenting the experience of soldiers battling in the trenches is also taking place at the Brighton museum and art gallery.
Brighton and Hove buses have also designed a special vehicle displaying images of the city at war.
