Competition: Win Tickets to see Daytona at Theatre Royal Brighton

Maureen Lipman (Ellie) & Oliver Cotton (Billy)

We have a pair of tickets to give away for the opening night of Daytona, starring Maureen Lipman, which runs from Sept 8-13 at Theatre Royal Brighton.

Maureen Lipman (Ellie) & Harry Shearer (Joe)

Coming straight from the West End, the play depicts the relationship of two elderly Jewish immigrants living in Brooklyn in the ’80s. Their life of bickering and ballroom dancing is interrupted when a relative makes an unexpected appearance, after several decades of avoiding the family. Why is he back? We don’t know, but they tell us that the play revolves on not one, but two love stories.

Daytona is a critically acclaimed new play by Oliver Cotton. The cast is comprised of Oliver himself as well as Maureen Lipman – star of screen, stage and BT ads for 40 years – alongside Harry Shearer who some will recognise from his voice work for The Simpsons (seems he did most of Springfield) and his role as Spinal Tap’s legendary bass player, Derek Smalls.

For your chance to win tickets to the play, all you have to do is answer the following question:

Daytona is a city on the coast of which US state?

To be in with a chance to win, email competitions@thelatest.co.uk with the name of the competition in the subject box and your answer to the question in the body of the email. Alternatively, write to us at the address at the front of the magazine. Don’t forget to give your name, address and telephone number.

Closing date for entries: Monday 2 September 2014.
