Man suffers life-threatening injuries in attack outside Brighton night club

A man has suffered potentially life-threatening head injuries in an attack outside a Brighton night club in the early hours of this morning (Wednesday 10 December).

Sussex Police arrested two men over the attack outside The Haunt in Pool Valley. They are currently in custody in Hollingbury.

The scene has been sealed off while an investigation takes place. As a result some National Express coach services have been disrupted.

Detectives said that the attack, which happened at about 3.50am, was not random.

Sussex Police said that the victim was a local man in his twenties who had been taken to Hurstwood Park Neurosciences Centre in Haywards Heath.

The two men who are being held are 21 and 23 years old and come from Brighton. They were arrested on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm (GBH).
