Zoella

She is one of the hottest bloggers and authors on the planet, and now Zoe Sugg (aka ‘Zoella’) has splashed out on a million pound five-bedroom mansion in Hove. Zoe, 24, has bought the house with long term boyfriend and fellow blogger Alfie Deyes, who is 21, and according to the Mail Online the couple have already nicknamed the pad ‘Zalfie Pad’.

Zoella started her blog over six years ago and it soon become one of the most followed and talked about in the UK. In 2014, Zoella launched her first book Girl Online with a record breaking sales figure for a debut novel, making it the fastest selling book of the year. The book however caused controversy, as it was revealed that Zoe had had a little bit of help – with the book being ghost written. The novel sold 78,109 copies in its first week; more than J K Rowling, Dan Brown and E L James, which is some feat.
Reacting, Zoe said; “It is such an amazing feeling. I’m so grateful to everyone that bought a copy. I love that so many of my viewers are enjoying the book. This year has been so exciting and this, for sure, is the icing on the cake.” The sequel is reported to be out this summer so maybe Zoe can then afford a beach hut on Hove seafront – watch this space!

Everyone’s favourite Drivetime DJ, Juice FM’s Guy Lloyd, had quite a week last week. He donned his famous gold lame suit and cape and trotted off to the London Palladium to audition for the next series of Britain’s Got Talent. What happened next is described by Guy, in his blog.
But for a sneak preview – “David Walliams said; ‘are you having a laugh?’ Well yes David, I would have, if you had given me a minute or two,” regales Guy.
We look forward to seeing Guy’s performance on the London audition round of Britain’s Got Talent, which is back on our screens in two weeks’ time.
