So, let’s start with skincare. There are a plethora of creams and serums, all promising benefits of varying kinds. This is my quick guide to what key vitamins the ingredients offer.
Vitamin A: It helps to keep the skin soft and supple by ensuring moisture retention, thereby helping to prevent dryness, keratinization and skin conditions like psoriasis and acne.
Vitamin C: Promotes collagen production and skin cell rejuvenation.
Vitamin E: Offers protection from environmental damage. It’s been shown when it is used before UV exposure that skin is less red, swollen and dry.

Of course, these vitamin-packed creams and serums work best on skin that is properly exfoliated, otherwise your wonderful skin products are just wasted, sitting on top of dead skin and not providing you with any of the benefits promised!
Other important factors to consider for healthy skin: how clean are your make-up brushes? Wash your brushes out at least once a week with a tea tree or chamomile cleanser. Leave to dry naturally in an upright position. And keep well hydrated. Good hydration comes from food, juices, herbal teas and my favourite … coconut water! That’s it from me, I hope you enjoyed reading.
