Half Crown – Special Gig
Have you seen them live yet? Brighton-based musicians Half Crown have been described as “an amalgamation of five individually talented musicians, blending a series of styles and genres; with influences of blues, folk, hip-hop, reggae and rock,” who come together to generate “something unique, lively and exciting.” And the minds behind the music are said to “understand and combine one other’s influences, which became part of what defines Half Crown’s individuality, creating something which any audience can connect to.” The band’s members have known one another for over a decade.
Followers may already know that the band will soon be saying a sorry farewell to one of its key members, lead guitarist/vocalist Frankie Harper, and to commemorate his departure, Half Crown are playing a showcase gig on Saturday 2 May 2015.
Redaux Music presents: Half Crown (live at The Haunt) + support from Renegade Twelve, an evening dedicated to the start of a new movement and the celebration of past work. Half Crown will be showcasing their new rock ‘n roll, toe-tapping tomfoolery in the form of a live performance, incorporating work from all five previous EPs and LPs. Make sure you get your tickets sharpish!
